With your generosity and compassion, you can help to continue to expand the knowledge of Hospice Services and End-of-Life Care and to eliminate the stigma about hospice care for terminally ill individuals.

Your donations will also help the indigent, terminally ill individual and their families who are financially destitute. This could be due to mounting medical bills, inadequate insurance or income, or loss of income because the main financial provider is the one diagnosed with a terminal illness.

2008 Guidelines for Giving

PURPOSE: NHPF’s mission is to educate the community about hospice services and help indigent and terminally ill individuals and their families with items that insurance or income will not provide.

POLICY: A terminally ill patient and their family must be financially assessed to qualify for material or financial assistance.

Items considered for funding:

· Rent/Mortgage

· Utilities

· Insurance Payments

· Wheelchair Ramps

· Transportation

· A/C, Fans or Heaters

· Repair Glasses or Dentures

· Cremation

· Funeral Expenses

· Emergency Clothing

· Personal Items

· Other
